This role is for a professional educator who takes pride in results, runs a tight classroom, and wants consistent, meaningful work in the evenings and weekends. Curriculum and lesson materials are provided, but you will be trusted to lead the classroom and take ownership of the student experience.

Responsibilities
- Teach live, small-group online math classes (grades 6–8) with occasional grades 5 or 9 students
- Deliver lessons with clarity, pacing, and strong engagement
- Follow structured lesson plans and curriculum
- Maintain high expectations for student participation and behavior
- Track and support student progress
- Communicate briefly and clearly with parents as needed
- Take ownership of student outcomes and retention
- Arrive prepared and follow through consistently

Requirements
- 5+ years of teaching experience (middle school or high school math preferred)
- Strong classroom management skills, including in virtual settings
- Ability to explain math in a way students can understand
- Confident using Zoom, screen sharing, digital annotation tools, and other online teaching technology
- Must have or be willing to purchase a document camera for modeling handwritten work or have a
- Reliable internet and professional work environment
- Authorized to work in the United States
Schedule
This is a part-time evening and weekend position.
Applicants must have consistent availability for one of the following schedules:
- Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday
- Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday
Weekday classes are held between 3:15 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. Pacific Time.
Saturday classes are held between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Pacific Time.
Exact teaching hours will depend on enrollment and class placement.
