About Us

We are a small, client-focused real estate and estate planning law firm dedicated to providing exceptional legal services in residential & commercial real estate transactions, corporate formation, estate planning and adult guardianships. We value professionalism, attention to detail, and a collaborative work environment. We are seeking a dependable and organized Real Estate Processor/Legal Assistant to join our team.

Position Summary

The Real Estate Processor/Legal Assistant plays a key role in managing real estate transactions from contract to closing and assisting in drafting estate planning documents. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable and able to positively manage multiple files while working closely with clients, attorneys, lenders, real estate agents, and title insurance companies.

Responsibilities

Manage residential and commercial real estate files from contract through closing.
Review purchase contracts and title insurance commitments to prepare transaction files.
Order title searches, surveys, payoff statements, HOA information and other required documents.
Serve as the coordination hub to ensure proper and timely closings.
Prepare closing packages, settlement statements, deeds, affidavits and other legal documents.
Schedule closings and maintain attorney calendars.
Routinely communicate with clients by telephone and email.
Maintain accurate electronic and physical client files.
Assist attorneys with general administrative and legal support.
Provide excellent client service, and as needed answer telephones and greet clients.
Comply with applicable real estate laws, lender requirements, and law firm procedures.
Draft estate planning documents.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a real estate processor, legal assistant, title processor, or closing coordinator preferred.
Experience in a real estate law firm or title company is highly desirable.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills are a must.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail without micromanagement.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
Experience with real estate closing software Soft Pro is a plus.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
Professional demeanor and commitment to outstanding client service.
