Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant

Job Type: Contract

Shift: Days

Location: Williston, ND, 58801

Guaranteed Hours: 40 hrs/week

Duration: 13 weeks contract with possible extension

Pay rate: $30 - $35/hr

Job Description:

We are looking for a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with Long-Term Care experience to join our healthcare team and provide high-quality clinical and administrative support to physicians, nurses, and residents. Responsibilities include assisting with patient care, preparing examination rooms, obtaining vital signs, documenting patient information, administering medications and injections as directed, performing specimen collection, and supporting the care of residents in a long-term care setting. Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.

Certified Medical Assistant Responsibilities:

Assist physicians and nursing staff with resident assessments, examinations, and treatments.
Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and changes in resident condition.
Administer medications, injections, and immunizations within scope of practice.
Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing.
Provide routine clinical support and assist with activities of daily living as needed.
Prepare examination and treatment areas while maintaining infection prevention standards.
Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) and patient documentation.
Coordinate appointments, referrals, and follow-up care.
Monitor and replenish medical supplies and clinical inventory.
Educate residents and families on medications, treatments, and care plans.
Follow OSHA, HIPAA, infection prevention, and long-term care regulations.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure quality resident care.

Requirements:

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification.
Long-Term Care experience preferred.
Current AHA BLS certification.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
