Full Job Description

We are looking to hire for a Full-Time Curriculum Coordinator Position. The typical hours for this position vary Monday through Friday.

Job Summary

Curriculum Coordinators are responsible for the overall operational performance of the Academy and are considered the curriculum experts. Share your passion for educating young children as you support teachers in their planning and implementation of curriculum that encourages children to independently explore, discover, and actively learn.

Reports to: Academy Director

Job Description:

Work closely with the teachers to ensure all classrooms have a strong lessons planned that align with our Life Essentials curriculum,
Observe the classrooms weekly and monitor lesson plan implementation and classroom structure,
Review daily reports and pictures, wall displays, Character Education boards for accuracy and completeness,
Meet with teachers regularly to discuss observations, offer feedback on lesson plan ideas, build supply lists, and provide assistance and support
Create a monthly calendar with events and themes throughout the year
Focus and support the staff to ensure center-based pay is implemented daily with all centers open and a center management system is in place.

Job Qualifications:

Associates or higher in early childhood education or related field
2+ years of professional school-based experience with young children and a demonstrated strength in child centered curriculum planning and implementation
Ability to lead staff in implementation for developmentally appropriate center based curriculum
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to create partnerships with families and staff
Experience and skill in communication, leadership, organization, and supervision
Physically be able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors and outdoors
Able to assume postures in low levels to allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children
