Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Cake Decorator to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will bring artistic flair and precision to the creation of beautifully decorated baked goods, ensuring each cake not only tastes exceptional but also looks stunning. Your expertise in cake decorating, pastry preparation, and food handling will contribute to delivering memorable experiences for our customers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary creativity in a fast-paced, high-volume environment dedicated to quality and customer satisfaction.

Duties

Decorate cakes and baked goods with intricate designs, fondant, icing, and other decorative elements to meet customer specifications and company standards
Prepare cakes, pastries, and baked goods following established recipes and food safety guidelines
Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, knives, and decorating tools efficiently and safely
Package finished products securely for delivery or display, maintaining presentation quality
Maintain a clean and organized workspace by adhering to food safety management practices and sanitation standards
Assist in food preparation tasks including pastry prep, ingredient measurement, and assembly of baked goods
Ensure consistent quality by adhering strictly to recipes and production procedures while managing high-volume output

Qualifications

Proven experience in cake decorating, pastry preparation, or food production within a bakery or restaurant setting
Strong knife skills and proficiency in operating kitchen equipment used for baking and decorating
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
Ability to follow detailed recipes accurately while maintaining efficiency in a high-volume environment
Excellent customer service skills to understand and fulfill client requests effectively
Basic math skills for precise measurements and portion control
Experience with catering or large-scale food production is a plus
Culinary experience in the food industry with a focus on baked goods or pastry arts preferred
