About Us

The Public Safety Consulting Group (PSCG) is a trusted consulting firm serving EMS agencies, emergency communications centers, fire departments, and law enforcement organizations across the United States. Based in Shelton, Connecticut, PSCG provides consulting, education, operational assessments, and expert witness services designed to help public safety organizations improve performance, staffing, and system effectiveness.

We are currently seeking a highly organized Mailroom Coordinator to support document management, mail processing, and administrative operations. This position plays an important role in ensuring information and correspondence are handled efficiently and accurately.

Position Summary

The Mailroom Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the receipt, distribution, tracking, and preparation of incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and business documents. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a professional office environment.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate daily mailroom operations, including incoming and outgoing correspondence.
Sort, distribute, and track mail, packages, and deliveries.
Prepare documents, reports, and materials for mailing and shipment.
Maintain accurate mailing and delivery records.
Assist with scanning, filing, archiving, and document organization.
Coordinate courier services and shipment scheduling when necessary.
Monitor mailroom supplies and maintain inventory levels.
Support administrative teams with document preparation and distribution.
Ensure confidential materials are handled securely and professionally.
Maintain organized mailroom and records management systems.
Assist with special projects and general office support activities.

Qualifications

Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
