Job Overview
Grand Industrial is looking for an experienced Carpenter, Construction Foreman, or Flooring Professional who enjoys leading crews while remaining hands-on in the field.
If you've built commercial structures, installed flooring systems, performed concrete work, managed construction crews, or led industrial projects, we want to talk with you.
Previous epoxy flooring experience is not required.
We'll provide company-paid training in industrial epoxy coatings, polished concrete, urethane flooring systems, and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) flooring so you can expand your skills while earning a competitive wage.
This is a working foreman position where you'll lead crews, coordinate daily jobsite activities, and work alongside your team to deliver high-quality industrial flooring installations for customers throughout the region.
What You'll Do
- Lead a crew while working alongside your team in the field
- Perform commercial and industrial flooring installations and repairs
- Install specialty flooring systems including epoxy coatings, polished concrete, urethane flooring, and ESD flooring
- Perform carpentry, concrete preparation, grinding, patching, and surface repairs as needed
- Read and interpret blueprints, project drawings, and specifications
- Coordinate manpower, materials, and equipment to keep projects moving efficiently
- Maintain organized, safe, and productive jobsites
- Train and mentor crew members while promoting quality workmanship
- Communicate daily project progress with Project Managers and company leadership
- Travel to customer jobs throughout the region as needed
Qualifications
We are interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following:
- Commercial or Industrial Carpentry
- Construction Foreman or Crew Leadership
- Commercial Flooring Installation
- Concrete Finishing or Concrete Repair
- Industrial Construction
- General Contracting
- Finish Carpentry
- Concrete Polishing
- Resinous or Epoxy Flooring (preferred but not required)
- Industrial Maintenance
Additional qualifications:
- Previous experience leading crews is preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong understanding of construction practices and jobsite safety
- Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review for company vehicle eligibility
- Willingness to travel as projects require
- Commitment to completing company-sponsored specialty flooring training
No Epoxy Experience?
No problem.
If you've built commercial buildings, led construction crews, installed flooring, poured or repaired concrete, or worked in industrial construction, we'll teach you the specialty flooring systems.
We're looking for experienced construction professionals with leadership ability and a strong work ethic—not someone who already knows everything about epoxy flooring.
