FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH

JOB DESCRIPTION

Title: Office Manager

Reports to: Senior Pastor Evaluators: Senior Pastor, Youth & Young Adult Pastor, Minister of Music & Senior Adults

Purpose: To provide office support to the ministerial team and congregation and to prepare and oversee the bulletin and mailed communications of First Baptist Church

Essential Functions:

● Manage the Church Office: offering a knowledgeable and welcoming presence, answering phones, responding to email, and front desk activities

● Develop, maintain, and communicate the annual master church calendar, scheduling programs, meetings, trips, events, and special services.

● Oversee the stocking of church supplies and equipment maintenance.

● Maintain the church membership database and phone directory through Automated Church System computer program.

● Maintain records of committee meetings, print reports and agendas for Church Council & Quarterly Business Meetings

● Maintain reservation lists for meals, events, and facility or vehicle usage or rental.

● Coordinate purchases and delivery of office supplies and flowers for worship and special services.

● Maintain and track records for staff leave.

● Prepare and print bulletin for Sunday services and other special services.

● Prepare and drop off all mailings and bulk mailings of the church

● Coordinate, create and publish weekly church wide facility use calendar: building activities, classes, ministry events, trips.

● Perform other duties as assigned

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
