GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:
Responsible for performing tasks as a flexible resource as outlined in the “Operator Skill Sets” matrix. Duties include but are not limited to: the ability to perform all Operator I & II task including; picking, packing, replenishment, cycle counting, receiving and distribution. All duties are conducted within the procedures, quality standards, and safety guidelines set forth by SpecialMade and SpecialMade’s customer expectations. May be assigned to work at MAPA warehouse as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
DUTY 1: Safety and Housekeeping
Commitment to and continual focus on working safely and maintaining a clean and organized work area:
- Follows all established health and safety policies and procedures
- Maintains personal work area in a clean and orderly manner
- Wears proper personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Attends all safety training
- Uses safe work practices to eliminate slips, trips and falls
- Lifting safely and helping others to do the same
- Labeling all chemical containers and becoming familiar with material safety data sheets
- Knowing evacuation procedures and the location of emergency equipment
- Expectations of 0 accidents or injuries
- Performs daily safety checks as required
- Assures all machinery and equipment are in safe operating condition
- Assures all stringers in hbay are straight and centered while receiving, picking or stocking.
DUTY 2: Quality
Producing and delivering a quality product to our customers is our mission and our responsibility:
§ Understands and acts on the concept of “do it right the first time”

§ Completes assigned task verifying quality throughout the process
DUTY 3: Packing / Shipping
Delivering the proper product in excellent condition and on time:
§ Accurately Picks, Packs and Ships product to meet customer order “By Dates”
§ Verifies ‘picked’ product counts/qty and part ID versus PackList
§ Packs verified product in appropriate carton
§ Follow shipping/order specifications as identified on PackList
§ Accurate and timely entry of labor ticket
§ Maintains a fulfillment accuracy of > 99.6%
§ Maintains a PRO Score of > 7.4
PRO Score = (# of Orders Shipped –Errors)/Available Work Hrs
Errors are discrepancies or inaccuracies that directly affect the customer or business. Examples include, but are not limited to, UPS shipping errors, Visual Errors etc.
DUTY 4: Inventory Control & Accuracy
Performing all inventory transactions and cycle counts properly to ensure inventory accuracy which affects order accuracy and cost.
§ Cycle counts inventory accurately.
§ Troubleshoots inventory discrepancies and reporting any adjustments to the Inventory Control. Works with Inventory Control on resolution of discrepancies.
§ Stocks product properly and accurately assuring proper location and qty.
§ Runs daily reports to identify and correct negative inventory levels
§ Moves inventory accurately both physically & systematically
§ When performing cycle counts, maintains a count accuracy of >95% with minimal recounts required
§ Maintains an inventory accuracy of 97.5%
DUTY 5: Product Modification
Crafting our products through creation or modification to exceed our customers’ expectations:
§ Applying label applications, accurately and efficiently
§ Uses hand tools properly and safely
§ Disassembles / assembles product and parts
§ Operates hot stamp equipment in a safe and efficient manner
§ May be assigned to flametreat or help in any Product Modification
§ Quality checks all work
DUTY 6: Receiving
Works, as assigned performing Receiving duties. Ensures product is received accurately and timely:
§ Unloads trailers, verifies product, verifies counts and performs QC check, if necessary, of in-bound product.
§ Assigns appropriate locations to in-bound product and stores product accurately within computer system (Visual).
§ Assures that all BOL’s are clearly marked with discrepancies and reports to the Purchasing.
§ All Receipts are to be completed within 2 days of receipt.
§ Receives items and forwards to various departments.
§ Updates Trailer Log
§ Processes Returns
§ Accurate and timely entry of labor tickets
§ Maintains Receiving Accuracy > 99.4%

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

VISION:
* Must be able to visually identify and discern printed words on either typewritten pages or computer screen.
