Description
The Lead Analyst ensures consistent parts and accessory availability to support Port‑Installed Options (PIO), Dealer‑Installed Options (DIO), and Original Equipment (OE) accessory requirements at ports and Parts Distribution Centers (PDCs). This role maintains inventory health, protects vehicle processing timelines, and minimizes customer impact by proactively managing supply, port/Vehicle Processing Center (VPC) performance, and supplier reliability.
The role focuses on monitoring and resolving port/VPC performance issues through Key Performance Indicator (KPI) tracking; including Missing Installs, Port Errors, Aged In‑Transit inventory, and Months of Supply (MOS); as well as direct engagement and on‑site visits. The Lead Analyst escalates underperformance, drives corrective action plans, manages critical shortages and expediting needs, and partners closely with Accessory Supply, OE teams, ports/VPCs, and logistics to maintain operational continuity.
This position plays a key role in ensuring port/VPC accountability, reducing supply chain disruptions, and supporting overall business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and resolve KPI issues including Missing Installs, Port Errors, and Aged In‑Transit inventory
- Partner with the Global Unified Systems (GUS) team and port/VPC teams to resolve inventory discrepancies, conduct audits, and support port training
- Collaborate with Accessory Supply and Port Analysts to improve forecasting, replenishment, and inventory planning
- Manage critical shortages, backorders, and emergency escalations to prevent vehicle processing delays
- Conduct on‑site port/VPC visits to assess performance and drive corrective actions
- Prepare and communicate performance metrics, risks, and countermeasures to management
Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma required
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of supply chain or inventory management experience
Skills
- Strong problem‑solving, decision‑making, and follow‑through skills
- Inventory planning and replenishment experience
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with inventory management systems
- Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Access, or Structured Query Language (SQL) preferred
