Job Description
Position Summary:
Great Basin College is seeking a motivated and dependable GBC student to provide front office support at our Winnemucca location. This position is ideal for a student who enjoys helping others, has excellent customer service skills, and is interested in supporting fellow students as they navigate college life.
Qualifications:
Must be a student of Great Basin College
Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits for the semester and maintain a 2.0 GPA
Must qualify for Work Study or RSP through Student Financial Services
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Basic computer proficiency; experience with Microsoft Office and general office equipment is preferred.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Primary Responsibilities
Proctor exams while maintaining the security and confidentiality of all testing materials.
Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
Assist students with basic computer usage and navigation.
Answer phones and greet visitors.
Accept forms and other documents.
Schedule advising appointments.
Direct students and visitors to the appropriate college departments and resources.
Assist front office staff with daily operations.
Operate general office equipment, including computers, printers, copiers, and scanners.
Provide encouragement and positive support to students.
Salary:
$15.00 per hour
Hours:
Up to 19 hours per week with a maximum of 79.5 hours per month.
