Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Plant Engineer to oversee and optimize manufacturing operations within our facility. The ideal candidate will possess extensive mechanical and industrial engineering expertise, with a focus on process improvement, equipment maintenance, and production efficiency. As a Plant Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless operation of manufacturing processes, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and manage project schedules to ensure timely completion of engineering projects and maintenance activities.
Conduct root cause analysis to identify underlying issues affecting equipment performance or process inefficiencies, then develop effective solutions.
Design and review schematics, CAD drawings, and technical documentation using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, and other CAD software tools.
Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs), robotics, CNC machines, and vision inspection systems to optimize manufacturing automation.
Support plastics injection molding processes by managing tooling design, fabrication, and process parameters to ensure product quality.
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to improve assembly line workflows through lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement strategies.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of industrial equipment, mechanical systems, fabrication techniques, and factory safety standards aligned with ISO 9001 requirements.

Experience

Proven experience in manufacturing facility operations with a strong background in mechanical engineering or industrial engineering.
Demonstrated expertise in project scheduling, root cause analysis, CAD design (AutoCAD, SolidWorks), CNC programming, CAM programming, and robot programming.
Hands-on experience with plastics injection molding processes, welding techniques, tooling design, fabrication methods, and assembly line optimization.
Familiarity with industrial equipment maintenance, vision inspection systems, CNC machinery, and automation technologies such as PLCs and robotics.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing methodologies aimed at process optimization and waste reduction within a production environment.
Prior factory experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting is essential for success in this role. Join us as we drive innovation in chemical manufacturing through engineering excellence!
