Full Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, highly creative, and strategic Senior Social Media Strategist & Content Creator to join our Brand Marketing team. This is not an entry-level social media position. We’re looking for someone who can come in with a strong understanding of social strategy, content creation, influencer marketing, platform best practices, and analytics; and confidently take ideas from strategy through execution.

This person will work alongside our Social Media & Brand Marketing Assistant and report directly to the Director of Brand Marketing, supporting a portfolio of apparel and lifestyle brands including Legendary Whitetails, Thorogood Workwear, Panama Jack, and additional women’s apparel and lifestyle brands with elevated, Americana, and western-inspired aesthetics.

One of the most important parts of this role is understanding that each brand has a completely different customer, voice, aesthetic, and social strategy.

We need someone who can learn those customers deeply and shift creative direction accordingly; not simply create content based on their own personal taste or what happens to be trending.

Social Media Strategy & Management

Develop and execute distinct social strategies for Legendary Whitetails, Thorogood Workwear, Panama Jack, and our women’s apparel/lifestyle brands.
Learn each brand’s customer, heritage, product assortment, competitive landscape, visual identity, and voice.
Build and manage content calendars across multiple brands and platforms.
Understand how content should differ across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Amazon, and emerging channels.
Balance trends and cultural moments with content that genuinely makes sense for the brand.
Understand that a viral idea isn't automatically a good brand idea and use sound judgment when determining which trends to participate in.
Develop strategies that balance brand building, community engagement, product storytelling, lifestyle content, and conversion.
Schedule and manage content through platforms such as Agorapulse and use Asana for project management.
Monitor community engagement, comments, DMs, mentions, and relevant conversations.
Stay ahead of platform changes, social trends, new formats, and evolving consumer behavior.

Content Creation

Although, you will be working with the Social Media Assistant who will help capture content when needed, this is not a role where you simply create the calendar and hand it to someone else. We need someone who can strategize and create.

Concept, shoot, edit, and publish original social content.
Create Reels, TikToks, Stories, carousels, product content, lifestyle content, behind-the-scenes content, and campaign storytelling.
Develop content that feels visually and tonally appropriate for each individual brand.
Be comfortable directing models, employees, influencers, or creators during content shoots.
Create simple graphics, mood boards, presentations, and social assets using Canva.
Partner with our photography team to plan and maximize social content during larger photoshoots.
Identify opportunities to repurpose existing photography and video without making feeds feel repetitive.
Maintain organized libraries of social content and creative assets.

Influencer, Ambassador & Affiliate Marketing

This person will also help grow and manage creator relationships across the brands.

Research and recruit creators who authentically represent each brand's customer and lifestyle.
Manage outreach and communication with influencers, creators, managers, and agents.
Negotiate rates, deliverables, product exchanges, usage rights, timelines, and partnership expectations.
Manage partnerships from initial outreach through content delivery and reporting.
Help develop and manage ambassador and affiliate programs.
Coordinate influencer gifting, product orders, agreements, deadlines, approvals, and follow-up.
Maintain organized influencer databases and partnership records.
Analyze creator performance and identify opportunities for longer-term partnerships.

Who We’re Looking For

We want someone who understands that managing social for multiple brands requires more than being good at social media. It requires being a strong marketer.

You should be able to move from rugged outdoor content for Legendary Whitetails, to blue-collar lifestyle content for Thorogood Workwear, to coastal lifestyle storytelling for Panama Jack, to elevated women's fashion and western-inspired content; and understand why each needs to look, sound, and perform differently.

We're looking for someone who:

Has several years of professional social media, brand marketing, or content creation experience.
Has experience working with apparel, fashion, lifestyle, outdoor, workwear, retail, or consumer brands.
Can develop strategy as well as execute it.
Understands how to identify and market to different customer segments.
Is a strong short-form video creator and editor.
Understands Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Amazon, and emerging channels.
Has hands-on influencer, ambassador, and affiliate marketing experience.
Can analyze social performance and turn data into actionable recommendations.
Is comfortable creating decks, spreadsheets, reports, content calendars, and creative briefs.
Has experience with Canva, social scheduling platforms such as Agorapulse, and project-management platforms such as Asana.
Can assist with organizing photoshoots, talent, shot lists, events, and content productions.
Is HIGHLY organized and comfortable managing multiple brands and deadlines simultaneously.
Is proactive, resourceful, collaborative, and willing to jump in wherever needed.
Understands that no task is too big or too small; you may be presenting a social strategy one day and helping assemble influencer packages the next.
Is comfortable with occasional travel for photoshoots, events, activations, and content opportunities.
