Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Tool Die Maker to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, fabricating, maintaining, and repairing precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures used in the production process. Your expertise will ensure the highest quality standards are met while optimizing manufacturing efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machinery and cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence and innovation.

Responsibilities

Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications using CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD to develop detailed tool designs.
Fabricate and assemble tooling components with precision using hand tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques.
Program CNC machines including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and CNC programming software to produce complex die components accurately.
Operate electrical discharge machining (EDM) equipment to create intricate shapes and fine details in tooling parts.
Conduct precision measurements utilizing calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure dimensional accuracy.
Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on tooling equipment to minimize downtime and maintain optimal operation.
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to develop tooling solutions for plastics injection molding and stamping presses that meet production requirements.
Read and interpret mechanical schematics and electrical diagrams to facilitate proper assembly and fabrication of tools.
Ensure all work adheres to safety standards, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and quality control procedures.

Skills

Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD for designing tooling components.
Strong knowledge of CNC programming for milling machines, lathes, and other machining centers.
Experience with electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes for precision fabrication.
Familiarity with plastics injection molding processes and tooling requirements.
Skilled in welding techniques including TIG, MIG, or stick welding for tool fabrication.
Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of manufacturing principles, tooling design, machining operations, and fabrication methods.
Ability to interpret schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints accurately.
Competence in using precision measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and gauges.
Knowledge of GD&T standards to ensure proper tolerances in tool manufacturing.
Experience working with stamping presses or other metal forming equipment is a plus.
