Position Summary
The Culinary Lead/Kitchen Cook will oversee day-to-day kitchen operations while helping to create an exceptional dining experience through high-quality food, innovative menu offerings, and strong leadership. This individual will balance creativity with operational excellence, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and attention to food costs.
Key Responsibilities
● Prepare and execute high-quality menu items with consistency and attention to detail.
● Collaborate with leadership to develop and enhance menus designed for member satisfaction and long-term success.
● Create and promote seasonal features and specials that showcase culinary creativity and expertise.
● Lead, train, and support kitchen staff while fostering a positive, team-oriented environment.
● Manage kitchen workflows to ensure efficiency and timely service during daily operations and special events.
● Oversee inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and maintaining appropriate stock levels.
● Monitor and control food costs while minimizing waste and maximizing profitability.
● Ensure all food preparation and kitchen operations comply with applicable food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
● Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and professionalism throughout the kitchen.
● Work closely with club leadership to support member events, tournaments, weddings, corporate functions, and other special occasions.
Qualifications
● Previous experience in a culinary leadership, lead cook, or kitchen management role preferred.
● Passion for delivering exceptional food and memorable dining experiences.
● Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
● Knowledge of inventory control, food costing, and kitchen operations.
● Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards; food safety certification is preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
● Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
● A creative mindset with enthusiasm for menu development and specialty offerings.
