About the Role:
Join CBRE as a Facilities Manager supporting a leading global manufacturer of pet nutrition products at a large-scale production facility in Aurora, Nebraska. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity within a fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment, where reliability, accountability, and a commitment to operational excellence are essential.
You will lead facility operations, maintenance activities, vendor management, and workplace safety programs while partnering closely with site leadership to ensure the facility remains efficient, compliant, and fully operational. This is an onsite role supporting a physically active manufacturing site and includes occasional after-hours support as business needs arise.
What You'll Do:
Lead day-to-day facility operations and maintenance activities across a 24-hour manufacturing site.
Supervise, coach, and develop a team of facilities professionals, including two direct reports.
Coordinate repairs, preventative maintenance, and service delivery with technicians, contractors, and vendors.
Build strong relationships with client stakeholders and help resolve facility-related issues.
Conduct facility inspections and ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Manage operating budgets, support capital projects, review vendor proposals, and oversee invoicing processes.
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reliability, and overall facility performance.
Provide responsive support, including handling urgent facility matters and after-hours calls when needed. Based on role-specific requirements provided by the hiring team and position responsibilities.
What You'll Need:
3+ years of facilities, maintenance, operations, or related leadership experience; Bachelor's degree preferred. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
Experience leading teams, including employee development, coaching, performance management, and hiring.
Strong knowledge of building operations, maintenance practices, and vendor management.
Ability to work onsite in Aurora, NE and thrive in a physically active manufacturing environment.
Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships and navigate complex situations.
Experience managing budgets, reviewing proposals, and supporting capital improvement projects.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a proactive mindset.
Dependability, flexibility, and willingness to support a 24/7 facility, including occasional after-hours calls and urgent operational needs. Based on role-specific requirements provided by the hiring team.
