Full Job Description

JOB TITLE: PROGRAM MANAGER (Day and Vocational Programs)
UNA LOCATION: MASCO, Inc. - Boardman, OH
SALARY: $50,000 - $65,000 annually

SUMMARY: Under direction of the Regional Director, the Program Manager is responsible to provide administrative support, direction and supervision of the employees, enrolled adult consumers, and the Adult Services Program; coordinates ancillary services such as Behavior Management and Health Services as they relate to the enrolled adult consumers and employees; oversees and coordinates compliance with UNA policies and procedures, Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities rules and regulations, and all other state and local laws related to the operation and safety of the Adult Services Program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Reviews and makes recommendations in matters pertaining to personnel and resources necessary to carry out UNA’s mission
Direct supervision of all Habilitation Coordinators and DSP’s
Oversees ISP process and audits to ensure plans are accurate and carried out appropriately
Administers performance appraisal process for all Coordinators and DSP’s; identifies areas of improvement and development.
Interviews candidates for hire and makes hiring recommendations
Acts as liaison with county DODD personnel
Monitors behavioral issues with adult clients. Responds to complaints, issues, and concerns relating to enrolled adult clients.
Advocates for clients’ rights to ensure programs and services are best suited to their needs
Completes and compiles relevant reports and documents
Attends professional meetings, trainings, and conferences as assigned
Assists human resources with incident investigations and disciplinary actions for staff
Establishes number of employees necessary to staff the facility day-to-day.
Works closely with Production Manager to ensure staffing is sufficient to meet production goals
Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND CHARACTERISTICS:

High school diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree preferred
3 years of successful experience working in developmental disabilities field supervising staff or programs; internal candidates should have experience as Habilitation Coordinator
Knowledge of DODD and Medicaid rules and regulations
Experience with Microsoft Office products such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Mature, empathetic, credible professional and communicator
Ability to adapt to changes and spur of the moment decision making

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and move objects. Must be able to stoop, stretch, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to sit to use computer and/or calculator and telephone. Eyesight capabilities must be sufficient to perform these functions. Hearing must be adequate to perform these functions.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Valid driver’s license
Pass criminal background check
Pass pre-employment drug screen
Pass pre-employment physical exam
Complete all DODD training requirements

FLSA: Salaried Exempt

WORK SCHEDULE: Mon-Fri, 8 hours per day, and any additional time that is required to perform the job

PROBATIONARY PERIOD: 90 Days

EMPLOYEE STATUS: Full-time, employment at-will
