Are you an LVT who loves surgery, anesthesia, and being part of a progressive veterinary team? Whittaker Road Animal Clinic is growing, and we are looking for a skilled Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team and help us expand our advanced surgical services!
At Whittaker Road Animal Clinic, we are a progressive, AAHA-accredited small animal hospital dedicated to providing high-quality medicine while creating a supportive environment where our team can continue to learn and grow. We are a busy 4 doctor practice serving dogs and cats, with a strong focus on patient care, teamwork, and utilizing Fear Free/low-stress handling techniques.
✨ Growing Surgical Department – We are expanding our surgical capabilities and looking for an LVT who is confident in anesthesia and enjoys surgical nursing. Our team is taking on more advanced procedures, including:

Total Ear Canal Ablations (TECA-BO)

Advanced soft tissue procedures
If surgery is your passion, there is an opportunity to spend more time in surgery while still enjoying a mix of technician appointments and patient care.

Provide high-quality nursing care for dogs and cats

Monitor anesthesia and assist with advanced surgical procedures

Prepare patients and surgical instruments

We are seeking an LVT who:
✅ Has surgical and anesthesia experience
✅ Is comfortable monitoring patients under anesthesia
✅ Enjoys advanced procedures and learning new skills

✅ Works well in a collaborative, multi-doctor environment

Utilize Your Full Skillset: You'll be a vital part of the medical team, providing comprehensive patient care, including administering treatments, monitoring anesthesia, and performing lab work.

Partner with Clients: You'll be a key point of contact for pet owners, educating them on treatments, reviewing medical records, and confidently answering their questions.

Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program.

A current state veterinary technician license in good standing.

Proficiency in a range of technical skills, including nursing, surgery, dental care, radiology, and laboratory procedures.

A calm and efficient approach, especially in fast-paced or stressful situations.

Strong communication skills and a passion for working collaboratively.

One year of experience in the veterinary industry is preferred.
