Full Job Description

*Job Overview*

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Yard Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining an organized and efficient yard environment, ensuring that materials are handled safely and effectively. This position involves operating heavy meachinery as needed to gather building materials for entire constuction projects.

*Duties*

- Operate forklifts, yard trucks, and Moffet trucks.

-Assemble building packages from yard inventory for customers.

- Load and unload shipments accurately and efficiently.

-Replace yard inventory.

- Assist in the organization of materials in the yard to ensure easy access and inventory management.

- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on heavy equipment to ensure safe operation.

- Collaborate with team members to facilitate smooth shipping and receiving processes.

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to promote safety.

- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating equipment.

*Requirements*

- Previous experience in a distribution center or similar environment is preferred but not required.

- Proficient in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and cherry pickers.

- Must be willing to work with others including recieving instructions from the yard foreman.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

- Must be physically fit to perform manual labor tasks, including lifting heavy loads.

- A commitment to safety practices and procedures is essential for this role.
