Position Type: W2, Full Time

Location: Remote / Work from Home (Must reside in Utah—Utah County or Salt Lake County preferred).

About the Opportunity

We are a growing professional company looking to hire an in-house Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Tax Strategist.

We routinely work with high-earning professionals—specifically dentists, doctors, and medical practice owners—who require proactive, sophisticated tax planning rather than just reactive, year-end filing. We want to find a trusted accountant who can confidently handle these high-value clients.

If you view tax code as a puzzle to solve rather than just a form to fill out, and you are think out-of-the-box compared to a, slow-moving firm, we want to talk to you.

Key Responsibilities

Advanced Tax Strategy & Planning: Work closely with referred clients to design, implement, and maintain forward-thinking tax strategies that legally minimize their tax liabilities and maximize wealth retention.
Specialized Consultation: Conduct deep-dive strategy sessions with high-earning individuals and medical/dental practice owners to analyze entity structuring, retirement plan optimization, and specialized deductions.
Annual Tax Compliance: Oversee and execute the accurate preparation and filing of complex federal and state tax returns for individuals (1040) and business entities (S-Corps, LLCs, Partnerships).
Proactive Advisory: Stay ahead of shifting tax legislation and proactively communicate how changes will impact our referred clients' financial landscapes.

Qualifications & Requirements

Active CPA License in good standing. A CPA is mandatory for our business structure. No exceptions.
5+ years of complex tax planning and preparation experience, with a heavy focus on high-earning professionals and small-to-midsized business owners.
Deep knowledge of entity structuring, multi-state taxation, and advanced wealth-preservation strategies.
Exceptional communication skills—the ability to break down complex tax strategies into clear, actionable advice for busy professionals.
Secure, dedicated home office infrastructure to handle sensitive financial data remotely.
