Graphic Designer – Full Time

CMI | Safford, AZ | Full-Time | On-Site (Remote work NOT available for this position)

About Us

CMI is a full-service printing/signage business serving southeastern Arizona. We take pride in delivering high-quality print and design solutions for local businesses, organizations, and individuals. We're looking for a talented and motivated Graphic Designer to join our team and help bring our clients' visions to life.

Position Overview

As our Graphic Designer, you'll play a central role in creating print and digital materials that represent our clients' brands with quality and consistency. You'll work closely with our team and directly with clients to deliver polished, production-ready designs on schedule.

Responsibilities

Perform page layout, typesetting, and typography for a wide range of print materials
Design attractive and effective business cards, brochures, flyers, invitations, and other items
Apply branding packages to keep client work uniform across different products and jobs
Conduct design and client research to inform creative decisions
Develop concepts and mock-ups for logos and other design projects
Create social media graphics and edit photos as needed
Prepare design files for production and digital packages for client delivery
Prepare proofs according to job specifications and brand guidelines
Provide creative input on new projects
Track task progress and provide timely updates to the team
Create and maintain accurate paperwork and job records
Adhere to production schedules and deadlines

Qualifications

Proven experience in graphic design, preferably in a print or production environment
Excellent attention to detail, with strong typesetting and typography skills
Proficiency in industry-standard design software
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to take direction and collaborate as part of a team
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
A portfolio demonstrating relevant print and/or branding work

Nice to Have

Experience with print production and prepress processes
Familiarity with wide-format or commercial printing
Experience working with small businesses or local clients
Experience with Canva
