The Hive Women’s Health
Location: Gainesville, Virginia
Employment Type: Part-time or Full-time
Compensation: Competitive base compensation, performance-based bonuses, and a defined growth pathway
Position Overview
The Hive Women’s Health is seeking a skilled, detail-oriented, and genuinely compassionate Licensed Medical Aesthetician and Body Confidence Specialist to join our growing, physician-led clinical team.
This is more than a traditional aesthetician position. It is an opportunity to help women feel confident, informed, and supported through personalized aesthetic and body-contouring care delivered within a comprehensive women’s health practice. The ideal candidate combines strong technical ability with warmth, professionalism, and a patient-first approach.
In this role, you will perform noninvasive aesthetic and body-confidence treatments, educate patients about their care, document progress, maintain treatment spaces and equipment, and collaborate closely with our medical providers and Clinic Director. You will receive training on The Hive’s proprietary protocols, including our signature HiveSculpt approach, and will become an important part of each patient’s experience—from consultation and treatment planning through ongoing care and progress tracking.
We are looking for someone who views aesthetics as part of a larger wellness journey rather than a quick fix. The right candidate wants to grow with The Hive and is passionate about helping women build confidence through thoughtful, individualized, and medically guided care.
What Makes This Role Different
The Hive is not a volume-driven medspa. We are a concierge women’s health practice focused on hormone optimization, medical weight management, peptide therapy, regenerative medicine, body sculpting, hair restoration, skin health, and aesthetics.
Our approach is personalized and education-first. We value quality over volume, relationships over transactions, and sustainable wellness over superficial results. You will work directly alongside our providers and Clinic Director in a collaborative environment where your expertise, ideas, and professional growth are valued.
Key Responsibilities
Aesthetic and Body-Confidence Treatments
Perform noninvasive aesthetic, skin-tightening, and body-contouring treatments within the scope of your license, training, and The Hive’s clinical protocols.
Deliver HiveSculpt treatments after completing required internal training and competency validation.
Conduct thoughtful treatment consultations, review patient goals, and help set realistic expectations for the patient experience and anticipated progress.
Educate patients on treatment preparation, aftercare, skincare, maintenance recommendations, and appropriate home-care products.
Monitor patient comfort and skin response throughout each procedure and promptly communicate concerns or contraindications to the supervising medical provider.
Capture standardized before-and-after photographs, measurements, treatment settings, and progress notes in accordance with clinic protocols.
Support aesthetic treatment planning in collaboration with the clinic’s medical providers.
Recommend appropriate aesthetic services and professional skincare products based on patient needs without using high-pressure sales tactics.
Patient Experience and Care Coordination
Create a welcoming, discreet, and supportive experience for every patient.
Guide patients through their aesthetic journey, from the initial consultation through treatment series, follow-up appointments, and maintenance care.
Respond knowledgeably and professionally to questions about aesthetic services, pricing, preparation, aftercare, and consultation availability.
Coordinate treatment appointments and follow-up visits to support continuity of care and a seamless patient experience.
Protect patient privacy and maintain accurate, timely, and HIPAA-compliant documentation.
Build trusted, long-term patient relationships through education, consistency, empathy, and exceptional service.
Treatment Room, Equipment, and Clinical Collaboration
Prepare and reset treatment rooms before and after each appointment.
Clean, disinfect, and maintain treatment equipment according to manufacturer guidance, clinic protocols, and applicable safety standards.
Monitor supplies, professional skincare products, and treatment-room inventory; report replenishment needs promptly.
Assist medical providers during aesthetic or regenerative procedures when appropriate and permitted within your professional scope.
Participate in team meetings, case discussions, hands-on training, and continuing education.
Stay current on aesthetic technologies, skincare ingredients, treatment protocols, contraindications, and patient-safety practices.
Support clinic events, educational initiatives, social media content, and community outreach when needed.
Required Qualifications
Current Virginia aesthetician or master aesthetician license in good standing, as applicable to the services performed.
At least one year of experience in medical aesthetics, a dermatology or plastic surgery practice, a physician-led aesthetic clinic, or a comparable professional setting.
Hands-on experience performing noninvasive facial or body treatments.
Strong understanding of skin assessment, treatment preparation, contraindications, sanitation, infection prevention, and aftercare.
Ability to document treatments accurately and use scheduling, practice-management, or electronic medical record systems.
Excellent communication and patient-education skills, with the ability to help patients feel comfortable, respected, and informed.
Professional appearance and demeanor, sound judgment, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to patient safety.
Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a close-knit clinical team.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with body contouring, radiofrequency skin tightening, RF microneedling, laser or light-based treatments, EMS technologies, advanced facials, chemical peels, or professional skincare.
Master aesthetician licensure or advanced training relevant to the treatments offered by the practice.
Experience in women’s health, wellness, hormone optimization, medical weight management, or functional and integrative medicine.
Experience in a concierge, boutique, or membership-based medical practice.
Familiarity with standardized clinical photography and aesthetic progress tracking.
Experience educating patients about treatment plans and professional skincare products in a consultative, non-pressured manner.
Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills are a plus.
An LPN or other active clinical credential is welcomed but not required for this aesthetician-focused position.
The Qualities We Value Most
You genuinely care about women’s health and understand that aesthetic care can play a meaningful role in a patient’s confidence and overall well-being. You prioritize education and appropriate treatment recommendations over simply selling services.
You take ownership of your work, notice details, communicate proactively, and bring potential solutions when challenges arise. You are comfortable working in a small, collaborative practice where team members support one another and occasionally contribute beyond their primary responsibilities.
Most importantly, you are coachable, curious, and committed to long-term professional growth. You understand that confidence is built from the inside out, and you want to help women feel supported throughout that journey.
What We Offer
Competitive compensation with performance-based bonus opportunities tied to quality, patient satisfaction, and retention.
Comprehensive training on HiveSculpt and The Hive’s body-confidence protocols.
A clear professional growth pathway as the practice expands.
Continuing-education support for relevant certifications and advanced aesthetic training.
Employee access to eligible services and products at significantly reduced rates.
A collaborative, supportive culture that recognizes excellent work and celebrates shared success.
A modern, welcoming clinical environment designed for both patient comfort and team efficiency.
Flexible scheduling with work-life balance in mind.
