Job Description

Visa Direct is a set of solutions that Visa provides to facilitate money movement across cards, accounts and wallets addressing needs of the markets through variety of the use cases (i.e. P2P, B2B. B2C).

This is a leadership opportunity to own commercialization of high-priority vertical within Visa Direct. Senior Director will lead the XB Remittances & Payouts proposition vertical, with accountability for end-to-end commercialization of cross-border remittance and payout use cases across defined corridors, segments, and partner types. The role holder will lead a team and will work in close partnership with Visa Direct Product, Marketing, Strategy, Visa Direct Enterprise Clients, and regional teams globally.

This role translates Visa Direct capabilities into scalable, competitive market propositions and leads go-to-market strategy and execution. It is accountable for adoption, revenue growth, and monetization of XB remittance and payout flows across regions. It requires deep cross-border money movement expertise combined with strong commercial acumen, a structured approach to GTM execution, and proven ability to lead in a global, matrixed environment. A strong candidate will bring solid experience in remittance and payout ecosystems, product commercialization, corridor strategy, and financial institutions engagement, with the ability to operate both at strategic and execution levels.

Visa is looking for an experienced commercialization leader with an outstanding track record in cross-border payments. In addition to payments industry knowledge, outstanding people leadership, product commercialization, and stakeholder management skills are critical.

Responsibilities include:

Go‑to‑Market & Commercialization. Own the global go‑to‑market strategy development and execution for XB Remittances & Payouts, including remittances, payouts, and corridor‑based use cases. Define target segments, value propositions, pricing and monetization logic, partner strategy, and rollout priorities to drive scalable commercial growth across regions.
Commercial Execution & Regional Enablement. Lead execution of GTM strategy across priority corridors and partner types, enabling regional client facing teams to execute locally while maintaining global consistency. Ensure strategies balance global scale with regional market realities and promote reuse over bespoke solutions.
Proposition Development & Market Insight. Act as the primary market voice to Product, identifying capability gaps, scalability requirements, competitive positioning, and new growth opportunities. Own the commercialization lifecycle from opportunity sizing and value articulation through delivery readiness.
Performance Management. Accountability for commercial performance for the XB Remittances & Payouts vertical, including revenue and volume growth, pipeline conversion, regional/client adoption, live corridors and payout endpoints, win rates, and time‑to‑first‑transaction. Lead regular performance reviews and propose course‑correction actions.
Enterprise Clients Commercialization Leadership. Serve as the commercialization lead for enterprise and strategic clients within Visa Direct. Partner closely with Sales, Account Executives and Solutioning to support complex enterprise opportunities, including large FI, fintech, and multinational clients. Ensure enterprise deals are leveraged to validate propositions, strengthen scalable use cases, and inform broader go‑to‑market strategy.
Stakeholder Leadership. Lead cross‑functional engagement with global and regional stakeholders to ensure effective commercialization and rollout. Feed prioritized market requirements back into Product and set clear commercialization and sequencing decisions for regional execution.
People Leadership. Lead and develop a high‑performing commercialization team. Promote accountability, transparency, and constructive challenge, while attracting, retaining, and developing top talent to deliver Visa Direct’s growth objectives.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD Preferred Qualifications • 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience • Must demonstrate extensive cross-border money movement knowledge • Expert level product management experience, including strong analytical skills identify gaps in the current product offering and lead the effort to develop solutions that drive business value • Strong acumen in product commercialization, including development of a Go-To-Market strategy for a newly established line of the business • Demonstrated track record of achieving commercial targets and driving revenue growth across global organization • Experience in cross-border remittance operations, foreign exchange rates. • Experience in managing regulatory requirements, KYC and compliance processes • Anti Money Laundering, Payments Risk & Fraud Products and Sanction Screening knowledge is desirable

The estimated salary range for this position is $179,300 to $313,700 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.

Travel Requirements

This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
