Strike Acceptance
A little bit about us; we are the new face of sub-prime auto lending. Strike Acceptance is based in Southern California, and we focus on helping residents of our community secure auto financing through our network of approved dealers. We understand that good people can experience financial challenges and therefore we base our decisions on a commonsense approach and consider all relevant factors that impact an applicant. In doing so, we take great pride in helping our customers establish or rebuild their credit profiles.
So that is a little bit about what we do but in case you are wondering what we are all about and what it's like to work here, this is the deal. ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Strike Acceptance is seeking a results-driven attorney to join our team at our corporate office in Laguna Hills. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience gained in working with consumer finance organizations, strong knowledge of licensing, and the ability to partner with outside counsel as needed. This role will require partnerships with various departments within the organization while working closely with the executive management team.
What You're Doing
- Assist in drafting and managing corporate transactions and other contracting matters.
- Draft, negotiate, manage, and advise business teams with respect to complex services contracts, including software licensing, software as a service agreement, work orders, outsourcing arrangements, externship affiliation agreements, vendor agreements and renewals, non-disclosure agreements, provider agreements, insurance contracts and other commercial agreements.
- Perform on-line research and conduct electronic filings on legal and business-related matters including state licensing and compliance.
- Key advisor to various business departments on legal initiatives, general compliance matters and proposed actions and policies. Requires strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to spot issues that are important to the organization.
- Manage various legal projects to successful completion.
- Formation and maintenance of legal entities, including all necessary annual and regular corporate filings and business licensing on behalf of a multi-jurisdictional company (California, Delaware, Texas, etc.)
- Handle confidential information with the highest degree of care.
- Effectively interact and communicate with the organization’s management, other internal clients, and outside counsel
- Research, anticipate and guard the organization against legal risks.
What We're Looking For
- Juris doctorate from an accredited law school.
- Member of the California Bar in good standing.
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience within a law firm setting or in-house legal department.
- Consumer Finance experience.
- Strong legal research, writing and investigative skills.
