Summary
The Electrical Assistant Engineer supports overall facility management operations with a primary focus on electrical systems, working closely with the Facility Management Manager to ensure reliable and efficient facility utilization, maintenance, and improvement. They play a key role in managing electrical infrastructure, including power distribution, backup systems, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include overseeing electrical maintenance activities, managing budgets for electrical projects, coordinating vendor contracts, and ensuring continuous system reliability. Additionally, they contribute to facility-wide initiatives such as security protocols, project management, and space planning while providing technical leadership to the facility team. The Electrical Manager ensures a safe and functional environment by maintaining electrical integrity and supporting the Facility Management Manager in achieving organizational goals.

Minimum Qualifications
- State approved Class II or Electrical Contractor License highly preferred.
- Bilingual in Korean and English is highly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related area.
- Over 2 ~ 5 years professional experience in live facility maintenance preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- In-depth knowledge of electrical components, systems, and circuits.
- Familiarity with electrical industry standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., NEC, OSHA, IEEE).
- Understanding of facility-related systems, including electrical distribution, HVAC, fire protection, air compressors, boilers, wastewater treatment, and building maintenance.
- Knowledge of electrical manufacturing processes, materials, and quality control methods.
- Understanding of inventory management principles for electrical parts and components.
- Knowledge of electrical testing, measurement techniques, and troubleshooting methods.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve electrical system and component failures.
- Ability to use electrical testing instruments and diagnostic tools effectively.
- Experience with electrical installation, maintenance, and repair procedures.
- Proficiency in using inventory management and documentation software.
- Attention to detail and precision in handling electrical parts and assemblies.
- Strong organizational skills to manage electrical parts inventory and maintenance schedules.
- Ability to coordinate with vendors, engineers, and facility maintenance teams to ensure timely procurement and maintenance of electrical systems.

Essential Functions
- Calculate appropriate capacity for new load expansion, load unbalance, and emergency power needs.
- Operate and maintain circuit breakers (VCB, ACB), including insertion, withdrawal, protective relay settings, and fault current calculations.
- Determine transformer capacity, monitor temperature criteria, and adjust voltage settings (tap adjustment).
- Review, modify, and analyze electrical drawings, including sequence control analysis.
- Develop and execute inspection, maintenance, and standby power management plans for electrical facilities (breakers, transformers, high-voltage capacitors).
- Establish procedures for circuit breaker switching sequences and emergency generator operation during power outages.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards for personal protective equipment (PPE) and voltage-specific discharge equipment usage.
- Utilize and analyze data from electrical measuring instruments (thermal imaging cameras, power distribution meters, leakage current meters, ground resistance meters, power analyzers, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with U.S. electrical safety regulations, including permit and license updates for facility repairs and expansions.
- Develop procedures for reporting electrical incidents, including personal injuries and equipment failures, to relevant authorities.
- Assess and review electricity rate calculations and electricity usage contracts for cost optimization.
- Implement and enforce electrical safety management procedures across facility operations.

Work Environment

May occasionally be exposed to inclement or hazardous conditions including but not limited to inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, and intense noises and travel; requiring moderate physical activities.
