Up to $24.00 per hour (up to +$3/hour once proficient in the role)

Company Summary

Founded in 1994 and located in Juneau, WI, Animix LLC (“Animix” or the “Company”) is a leading B2B ingredients company serving the animal feed industry. Selling primarily to the calf milk replacer market, the Company manufactures custom-formulated, water-dispersible vitamin and mineral premixes and supplements, distributes related ingredients, and provides excellent technical support.

Overview of Position:

Motivated individual who is responsible for daily set-up and splitting tasks to fulfill production schedule and provide additional support where needed. Split/Setting involves setting up a production batch by prepping ingredients in full bags or small quantities (less than a full bag), accurately weighing them per formula specifications, logging them, and placing them on the production pallet to be produced by a Production Operator. The Split/Set 1 employee is hardworking and team oriented. They will be responsible for working independently and accurately by following Animix policies and procedures. They will have the ability to communicate effectively with other Animix team members. Split/Set 1 will learn and be proficient in one area of the production process.

Main responsibilities:

To perform all duties regarding the set-up or split of formulas:
Follow all Set-up and Splitting instructions and SOP’s
Ensure all lot numbers are scanned and recorded
Make sure labeling is correct on Set-Ups
Maintain organization of both areas in warehouse
Ensure proper rotation of raw ingredients based on age (FIFO)
Participate in the training of new employees backing up your responsibilities
Assist in keeping a clean and safe work environment
Communicate low inventories to Plant Supervisors and/or Director of Operations
Seek out opportunities for improvement and efficiency- anticipate what needs to be done before assigned, see things through to completions accurately
Follow all SOP’s, GMP’s and HACCP guidelines and regulations
Follow all safety rules and procedures
Perform all other duties as assigned

Supervisor

Split/Set 1 reports directly to the Plant Operations Manager. Work closely with plant team, customer service and supply chain team.

Education and Work Experience

Prior manufacturing experience (preferred)
High school diploma or equivalent

Specialized Knowledge/Skills

Forklift operating experience
Basic computer skills
Basic MS Office (Excel)
Barcode scanners
Basic math skills

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Work can sometimes be in a dusty environment
Ability to lift 50 – 55 pounds

Ability to climb stairs, work at heights if needed
May be required to wear a disposable respirator (N95) or half face respirator
