Fast-growing revenue cycle management company seeking a sharp, self-motivated revenue cycle operations leader with 7+ years of billing/coding experience and 3+ years of management experience at a revenue cycle management company, managing multiple accounts and on- and offshore teams (required).

Healthcare practices don’t have the time or sometimes the education to know the best method for managing their revenue cycle process. That’s why we’re building an RCM company driven by data, focused on metric transparency and education for practices, so we are all striving for the best. While the rest of our industry is optimizing for quantity, we are laser focused on quality.

About the Role:

· Title: Billing Manager/Account Manager (growth opportunity to a Senior Billing Manager over time)

· Location: Remote or hybrid remote

· Type: Full time

· We’re looking for a billing manager to help support new clients for revenue cycle management. As one of the members of the leadership team, you’ll serve as the right-hand person; helping to both amplify company efforts and function as a thought partner on a diverse set of challenges.

· The role of Billing Manager has been given various definitions, but at our company it can be broken down very simply: creatively solve any problem that is thrown your way with a bias toward efficiency and an executive mindset.

· On any given day, you might find yourself onboarding new clients, meeting with off-shores billing teams, writing policies and procedures, defining standard processes, supporting our auditing team and checking progress, troubleshooting billing processes that are creating subpar billing metrics so that we are always hitting benchmarks, consulting on various processes throughout a practice, joining (and leading) meetings with clients and physicians, and much more.

· This role is for someone who is truly an independent team member, a do-er, and someone who gets in there to figure things out when there isn’t a clear answer. Someone who doesn’t give up and doesn’t wait for instructions but figures it out.

· Must have excellent communication skills and ability to learn new technology fast. This includes multiple EMR/PM software to be able to pull reports and trouble shoot when metrics aren’t meeting the mark.

· Be simultaneously the most multi-faceted and detail-oriented person in the company.

Qualifications

· Prefers hands-on execution >> to >> big-picture strategy

· Is more of a rapid-fire do-er >> than a >> slow methodical thinker

· Is more of a scrappy hustler >> than an >> executive manager

· Experience at a RCM company is required

· 7+ years of revenue cycle management experience, with 3+ years in an RCM company overseeing multiple accounts

· 3+ years of experience managing direct reports, ideally both on and off-shores employees (highly recommended)

· Think like a business operator and if an issue is identified then strive to identify the reasons why, determine the solution and implement without much direction

· Have been described as a “very fast learner” and “surprisingly resourceful”

· Are a relentless and creative problem solver who “finds a way no matter what”

· Can operate in ambiguous situations, at fast speeds, and with lots of self-direction

· Are a highly-empathetic, agreeable, and patient listener who makes others feel heard

· Have an ability to create executive summaries to communicate how things are going when there are new changes with a practice or times of transition

· Come across as warm, trustworthy, and relatable to people of all backgrounds

· Are meticulously detail-oriented and organized

· Have the ability to juggle many priorities at once while not dropping any balls

· Can quickly go from 0% to 80% knowledge on a new subject, in a matter of days

Responsibilities:

· This will be a mid-level role within the company, and a place to grow to a senior level role for the right person with the right hustle, skill and attention to detail.

· Work side-by-side with senior level managers and directors who can help you grow in a company

· Help manage operations of multiple RCM accounts, which includes learning multiple EMR/PM software systems, be able to be self-directed, and troubleshoot independently

· Regularly identify processes that need to be systematized

· Understand what to monitor in RCM accounts to hit key performance indicators monthly

· Serving as a “hands-on polymath” by constantly learning new things quickly and contributing wherever it is the organization needs you most that day or week

· Serving as a “systems thinker” by establishing standard operating procedures (e.g. toolkits, handbooks, checklists) to ensure a quality and uniform experience for our customers

· Serving as a “force multiplier” by proactively identifying inefficiencies and developing solutions to expand organizational effectiveness (time/attention/resources/information)

· Serving as a “trusted advisor” by listening with an open-mind, asking provocative questions, pressure-testing decisions, and providing divergent points of view

· Serving as an “air-traffic controller” by ensuring that communication is smooth across the company and everyone feels happy, resourced, and satisfied in their roles

· Meet with clients regularly to review metrics and determine improvement projects to improve areas such as denials, eligibility or prior authorization issues
