Full Job Description

Payroll Implementation Specialist

Exactpay Payroll Services, LLC is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Payroll Implementation Specialist to join our team. This position is responsible for implementing and configuring iSolved HCM for new and existing clients, with a primary focus on payroll, time and labor management, and employee benefits.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience implementing and configuring iSolved HCM and a strong understanding of how payroll, timekeeping, benefits, and employee data work together to create accurate and efficient payroll solutions. This is a client-focused position requiring excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the implementation and configuration of iSolved HCM for new clients, including payroll, time and labor management, and employee benefits.
Work directly with clients to gather payroll, timekeeping, benefits, tax, and employee data requirements.
Configure payroll and related system settings to meet each client's specific business and pay requirements.
Manage implementations from initial setup and data collection through testing, training, and successful go-live.
Review, import, validate, and reconcile employee and payroll data to ensure accuracy.
Configure and support time and labor management, including schedules, pay rules, overtime, time tracking, and related payroll requirements.
Assist with the implementation and configuration of employee benefits within iSolved HCM.
Conduct parallel payroll testing and identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies before go-live.
Configure earnings, deductions, taxes, PTO, benefits, and other payroll-related requirements.
Train clients and end users on iSolved HCM payroll, timekeeping, benefits, and related functionality.
Troubleshoot system configuration, integration, data, and payroll-related issues.
Maintain detailed implementation documentation, client requirements, system configurations, testing results, and procedures.
Coordinate with internal payroll and service teams to ensure a smooth transition from implementation to ongoing payroll processing.
Protect confidential employee, payroll, tax, and benefits information.
Stay current with payroll practices, tax requirements, and relevant iSolved HCM functionality.

Qualifications

Required: Hands-on experience with iSolved HCM, particularly in the implementation and configuration of:
Payroll
Time and labor management
Employee benefits
Strong understanding of payroll processing and the relationship between payroll, timekeeping, employee data, and benefits.
Experience implementing payroll systems for multiple clients or organizations.
Ability to analyze client requirements and translate them into accurate system configurations.
Experience with payroll data conversion, validation, reconciliation, and parallel testing.
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies before they affect payroll.
Strong organizational and project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple implementations and deadlines.
Excellent client-facing communication, training, and relationship-management skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with clients and internal team members.
High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential payroll and employee information.

Preferred / Additional Experience

The following experience is a plus:

Certified payroll and prevailing-wage reporting.
Job costing, including payroll costing by job, project, department, location, or cost center.
PBJ (Payroll-Based Journal) reporting and related long-term care reporting requirements.
Experience with complex payroll environments involving multiple pay rates, jobs, departments, locations, or cost centers.
Experience with payroll integrations and third-party applications.
Knowledge of payroll tax compliance and multi-state payroll requirements.
Previous experience working for a payroll service bureau or managing implementations for multiple clients.
