Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst

Confidential Opportunity

About the Role

A growing and dynamic healthcare organization is seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join its Finance team. This position will support budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and business analysis efforts while partnering with leaders across the organization to deliver actionable financial insights.

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable translating data into meaningful recommendations that support operational and strategic decision-making.

This person is required to reside in EST or CST Time Zones.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Forecasting

Assist with annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
Support the preparation and maintenance of financial models.
Analyze financial results and explain variances to budget and forecast.
Help identify risks, opportunities, and emerging business trends.
Participate in scenario planning and ad hoc financial analyses.

Financial Analysis

Analyze revenue, expenses, profitability, and key performance metrics.
Monitor and evaluate financial and operational performance across business units.
Support month-end and quarter-end reporting activities.
Develop insights and recommendations to improve business performance.
Assist in evaluating strategic initiatives and investment opportunities.

Reporting & Analytics

Prepare recurring financial reports, dashboards, and presentations.
Maintain reporting accuracy and data integrity across multiple systems.
Support automation and process improvement initiatives.
Assist with developing KPI reporting and executive-level summaries.
Utilize financial and business intelligence tools to improve reporting effectiveness.

Cross-Functional Partnership

Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Human Resources, and other departments.
Support stakeholders by providing financial analysis and insights.
Help business leaders understand financial implications of operational decisions.
Contribute to special projects and strategic initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
2-4 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, consulting, or financial analysis.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial modeling.
Experience working with budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred

Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting and visualization platforms.
Experience working in a multi-site, healthcare, professional services, or high-growth environment.
Familiarity with ERP systems and financial planning tools.
Experience preparing presentations and reporting for leadership teams.
