Team Toyota of Princeton is looking for an experienced, driven, and professional New Car Sales Manager to join our leadership team.

This is an opportunity to help lead the new car department at one of the area’s most recognized Toyota dealerships. We are looking for someone who understands new car volume, gross, customer experience, internet process, showroom control, trade acquisition, and daily team accountability.

We are not looking for someone to simply desk deals.

We are looking for a leader who can help drive performance, coach sales consultants, protect front-end gross, support finance opportunities, and create a winning culture around Toyota new vehicle sales.

What We’re Looking For

The right candidate is a hands-on New Car Sales Manager who understands how to lead from the front.

You should be comfortable desking and closing new vehicle deals, managing showroom flow, working internet and phone opportunities with the team, building value in the Toyota brand, maximizing trade opportunities, protecting gross, and keeping the sales staff focused on daily activity and monthly goals.

We want a manager who brings energy, urgency, professionalism, structure, and accountability every day.

Key Responsibilities

Desk and close new vehicle deals while maintaining gross, volume, and customer satisfaction
Manage showroom traffic, internet leads, phone opportunities, appointments, and follow-up activity
Coach, train, and motivate sales consultants daily
Help salespeople set and achieve monthly goals for units, appointments, follow-up, trade opportunities, and process execution
Monitor CRM activity to ensure all leads, showroom visits, phone calls, unsold prospects, and appointments are properly handled
Drive new car internet close rate, appointment show rate, sold rate, and customer retention
Work with leadership on new vehicle inventory, inbound units, allocation strategy, pricing, aged inventory, and market competitiveness
Support trade acquisition by coaching the team on appraisals, equity conversations, service drive opportunities, and customer upgrades
Conduct daily sales meetings and short training sessions focused on Toyota product knowledge, process, closing, follow-up, and objection handling
Maintain strong communication with finance managers to maximize product opportunities and deal flow
Promote a professional, positive, competitive, and accountable sales culture
Ensure all customer interactions reflect the standards and reputation of Team Toyota of Princeton

Expectations

Proven ability to meet and exceed new car sales, gross, and customer satisfaction objectives
Strong understanding of Toyota or import brand new vehicle sales process preferred
Ability to manage both volume and gross in a competitive market
Strong desking, closing, objection-handling, and customer communication skills
Ability to motivate sales consultants while holding them accountable to process and performance
Strong CRM discipline and understanding of internet lead management
Comfort working with inventory, pricing, market data, inbound units, and allocation opportunities
Professional ethics and a customer-first mindset
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Toyota SmartPath experience is a plus
Reynolds & Reynolds experience is a plus

Qualifications

Minimum high school diploma required
At least 2 years of automotive Sales Manager experience preferred
New car sales management experience strongly preferred
Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Nissan, Subaru, Mazda, or other import brand experience is a plus
Experience managing internet leads, showroom process, CRM follow-up, and sales team accountability
Proficiency with computers, CRM systems, email, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
Valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report
Must be self-motivated, goal-oriented, organized, professional, and able to lead in a high-volume environment
