Line Cook Full-Time/Part-Time Fontana di Vino — Davidson, NC

About Fontana di Vino

Fontana di Vino is an Italian concept in Davidson, NC that has found its footing and is now scaling thoughtfully. We are expanding operations and preparing to introduce a lunchtime menu — and we are building a line team capable of executing at a high level across both services. We hire selectively because our kitchen is small and every position on the line carries weight. Professionalism is a standing expectation in this kitchen, not a situational one. We are looking for someone who holds themselves to that standard on every shift — not because they’re asked to, but because it’s who they are.

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Line Cook who can own a station independently through sustained high-volume service. You understand kitchen flow, manage your station prep with discipline, and bring the time management and composure needed to execute consistently without oversight. You are willing to step outside your defined station when the line needs it, and you do so without being asked twice. Sauté experience at a high level is a meaningful advantage for this role.

Key Responsibilities

Ø Execute station service independently at high volume and a consistently elevated standard

Ø Manage all aspects of station prep: mise en place, organization, timing, and quality control

Ø Understand and operate within kitchen flow — reading the line and anticipating needs proactively

Ø Maintain food safety, sanitation, and temperature standards throughout every shift

Ø Present and plate dishes to spec with consistency and attention to detail

Ø Support adjacent stations and the broader line as needed without hesitation

Ø Execute opening and closing station procedures efficiently and thoroughly

Ø Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs to kitchen leadership

Ø Maintain professional conduct in all interactions and circumstances, without exception Perform other duties as directed by kitchen leadership

Qualifications

Ø Proven experience working a high-level, high-volume line station independently — required

Ø Strong command of kitchen flow, station prep discipline, and service time management — required

Ø Thorough knowledge of food safety and health standards in practice, not just in principle

Ø Willingness and ability to work fluidly beyond your defined station when the team needs it

Ø Demonstrated professionalism: punctuality, composure under pressure, and respectful communication

Ø Experience on sauté at a high level is a significant advantage Italian cuisine background is a plus

Ø Food safety certification is a plus
