Full Job Description

A great UHY client is seeking a Manager, Corporate Tax - Consulting. The ideal candidate will have corporate tax consulting experience, strong tax planning and compliance expertise, and leadership experience managing client relationships and tax engagements.

The Manager, Corporate Tax - Consulting role is a onsite position. This is a temporary, contracted position.

Manager, Corporate Tax - Consulting Responsibilities

Manage corporate tax consulting and compliance engagements for a diverse client portfolio.
Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to corporate clients.
Review and oversee the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns.
Research complex tax issues and develop practical recommendations for clients.
Advise clients on tax implications related to business transactions, entity structures, and operational decisions.
Monitor changes in tax legislation and communicate impacts to clients and internal teams.
Lead tax consulting projects and ensure timely delivery of high-quality client service.
Review tax workpapers, calculations, and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance.
Assist clients with tax audits, notices, and inquiries from taxing authorities.
Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to identify tax-saving opportunities and mitigate risk.
Mentor, develop, and supervise tax staff and senior tax professionals.
Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and trusted advisory support.
Support business development initiatives and identify opportunities to expand client services.
Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery.

Manager, Corporate Tax - Consulting Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
CPA designation preferred.
6+ years of corporate tax, public accounting, or tax consulting experience.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local corporate tax regulations.
Experience providing tax consulting, planning, and compliance services to business clients.
Experience reviewing corporate, partnership, and pass-through entity tax returns.
Strong tax research and technical tax analysis skills.
Experience managing multiple client engagements and project deadlines.
Proven ability to lead teams and mentor accounting and tax professionals.
Strong client relationship management and business development skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency with tax software and Microsoft Excel.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment.
Commitment to delivering exceptional client service and building long-term client relationships.
