Full Job Description

Customer Representative

Field-based Trainer – Educational Technology

Burlington English is seeking a skilled teacher-trainer to join our Southeast Team. We are looking for a team player who will be responsible for facilitating client training and professional development primarily in the states of Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee, but with occasional travel and/or virtual assistance to nine additional states in the Southeast Region. The candidate must live in the Birmingham, AL area, as this position is a home-based position with travel in and around AL and other southern states.

Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and the legal right to work in the United States.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare for and facilitate one on one, small group, and large-scale trainings at the school and state level in a manner that encourages autonomous use and positive attitudes towards the product and company.
Communicate all pertinent information and report on account status and needs to the Regional Manager, as well as to the Customer Manager assigned to the given area.
Assist other Customer Managers and regions when needed, either in person or virtually.
Build relationships with teachers, administrators, and other educational staff, per Regional Manager’s instruction.
Complete paperwork and data entry as needed and appropriate.
Execute training vision and plan for the area, per Regional Manager’s instruction.
Attend company and regional meetings and conferences.
Stay up to date and informed on the BurlingtonEnglish program, as well as on initiatives and directives affecting the Adult Education market.
Travel 20 – 50% per month, depending on seasonal needs.

Skills & Experience

Quick learner, especially with technology, and self-starter.
Experience in the education field – teaching background (ESL preferred) or experience working for an educational sales company or educational organization.
Effective relationship-building capabilities.
Strong interpersonal, presentation, organizational and verbal/written communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote working environment as well as part of a team in fast-paced situations.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
Fluent in English. Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
Must have a valid driver’s license.

May be required to frequently **transport oneself by car (provided by the Company) and be punctual to meetings and activities held outside of their home office, to lead or attend meetings, conferences, workshops, seminars, special events, and planning sessions, etc.
