Over-the-Road TEAM Drivers (Owner/Operators- Independent Contractors)
We are looking for EXISTING TEAMS or drivers that have the ability to make a team. Our company has a reputation of being a driver focused organization with best in class safety, customer service and customer. U.S. Cryo Carriers, LLC is a growing company that provides carrier services to the industrial gas industry. Teams average $260,000 per year with the ability to make more.
Our dedicated team of independent Truck Drivers are required to safely deliver liquid nitrogen, oxygen, argon, helium, and hydrogen to customers within a 500 mile radius of the terminal. With your safety being our number one goal, many of our drivers have achieved 1 Million safe miles and have been recognized for their achievements. Compensation includes: quarterly safety incentives and the opportunity to be on the best in industry lease-to-purchase program.
Job Responsibilities:
- Promote and comply with Safety Policies and Operating Procedures
- Use required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
- Drive Commercial Motor Vehicle (tractor-trailer) combination, usually long distances, to transport and off-load compressed and liquefied industrial gases to customers or to storage sites in a safe, timely, accurate, and courteous manner
- Report all accidents, possible injuries, safety issues, driving citations and customer complaints to include service interruptions
- Be willing to drive over-the-road for three consecutive weeks
- Maintain awareness of all Federal, State and Local regulations and stay in compliance with these regulations at all times. Report suspected Regulatory violations or offenses
- Operate all equipment per company and/or manufacturer guidelines to maximize equipment life cycle and minimize maintenance costs
- Complete and submit reports as required by the DOT and/or company policy
- Utilize On Board Computer per instructions and makes every effort to ensure accuracy of data
- Maintain professional appearance/good personal hygiene
Safety:
- Zero vehicle accidents and/or injuries
- Comply with all safety policies and DOT regulations
Customer Satisfaction:
- Report to work as scheduled
- Exhibit courteousness to customers at all times
- Ensure all customer delivery tickets are accurate, signed, and provided to the customer
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 25 years of age
- Three (3) or more year’s prior experience as driver of tractor - trailer vehicles
- Must possess all applicable Haz-Mat (Hazardous Materials) endorsements
- Product knowledge of cryogenic, compressed and specialty gases, preferred
- Must possess a valid Class A commercial driver’s license for state of domicile
- Successful completion and passing of DOT written regulations and road tests
Physical Requirements:
_ _Must pass DOT physical to include drug screen and complete Physical Ability Testing
_ _Ability to lift and exert up to 60 pounds of force for connecting hoses or turning valves
_ _Reasonable manual dexterity for pushing, turning, and/or pulling of controls and valves
_ _Work in various inside and outside environments being subjected to weather changes, noise, vibrations, and job hazards
_ _Operate motor vehicles/trucks, machines, hand tools and all other job specific equipment and tools
Compensation Program
- $1.54 per mile + market fuel surcharge (Loaded or unloaded)
- Lease-to-purchase truck program in which you own your truck in 2 years, NO balloon payment.
- $34.96 per hour for loading and unloading activities
- Quarterly safety bonuses
Lease program includes fuel cards, permits, and longevity pay
