Job Title Director of Compliance
Remote Work Eligibility: This position is remote; however, candidates must be current residents of Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, Kentucky, or New Jersey due to business and employment requirements.

The field of collections is an ever-changing environment. This position reports directly to the Chief Compliance Officer. It requires an understanding of the laws governing the debt collection space, along with strong management, organizational, and judgment skills.
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Compliance to lead and enhance our compliance and audit programs within the debt collection industry. This role serves as a key partner to executive leadership, ensuring organizational adherence to applicable federal and state regulations while driving continuous improvement across compliance, audit, and operational processes.
The ideal candidate possesses deep knowledge of debt collection laws and regulations, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven ability to develop effective compliance frameworks in a dynamic and evolving regulatory environment.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop, plan, and implement Compliance and Audit procedures and process efficiencies.
- Review, maintain, update, or create policies and procedures.
- Support management in the achievement of business objectives through clear communication.
- Educate Executives, Directors, Managers and employees on Compliance policies, practices, and processes to ensure knowledge transfer and enhanced organizational adherence.
- Design and implement Compliance and Audit training across the organization.
- Collaborate across the organization to ensure compliance with the development or maintenance of new processes and procedures.
- Direct and inspect Collection file audits for accuracy and compliance. Provide accurate compliance and Audit reports.
- Review audits to assess effectiveness of controls and efficiency of operations.
- Keep abreast of the changing laws and their impact on the collections space.
- Respond to regulatory complaints submitted through the CFPB, BBB, and AG.
- Support the Chief Compliance Officer with the completion of new or maintenance of existing initiatives.
- Data Owner
- Responsibility for information security on a day-to-day basis is every worker’s duty. Specific responsibility for information security is NOT solely vested in the Information Security department.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Director role.
- Assertive leader as well as team player with positive attitude and high energy level.
- Strong knowledge of FDCPA regulations, federal/state Collection laws, and Audit programs and procedures.
- Strong written skills.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills
- Technology experience and/or demonstrated aptitude.
