Vitality Works is in search of qualified candidate for our Facility Maintaince Tech I position .
Position Summary:
As a Facility Maintenance Technician I, you will be responsible for the rebuilding, repairing and maintenance of HVAC equipment, sanitary drains, water supply plumbing, fire suppression systems, lift equipment, air exhaust systems, building repair, landscaping, and pest control. Work includes, but is not limited to troubleshooting equipment, reading and interpreting manuals and work orders, maintaining a clean, safe work environment, and active participation in continuous improvement initiatives. Position Responsibilities:
- Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
- Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
- Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
- Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
- Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as conveyors, and programmable controllers.
- Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment, and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.
- Assists in troubleshooting malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
- Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunction with other maintenance workers.
- Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devices.
- Help to troubleshoot faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) as scheduled for various equipment.
- Monitor and replace pest control glue board traps.
- Remove and repair sheetrock walls
- Fix leaks in the roof.
- Repair and revitalize landscaping.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Skills & Requirements:
- Technical certificate demonstrating competency in education required or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3 to 5 years-experience in maintenance field.
- Requires excellent electrical, mechanical and troubleshooting skills.

- The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
