SCF Architecture, LLC is seeking a Registered Architect with 10–15 years of experience who is looking for more than just a job. We are looking for someone who is technically strong, familiar with code requirements, confident in decision-making, and excited by the opportunity to help shape both projects and practice. The right candidate will be comfortable leading code and zoning reviews, making sound constructability and detailing decisions, and supporting clients through a wide range of project types and budgets.
Our work spans residential, multifamily, and commercial projects, with project scales ranging from $50,000 to $5 million. Our clients are often small business owners and residential property owners who need an architect’s expertise and want thoughtful, practical solutions.
We care deeply about community impact. In addition to private-sector work, we have supported Habitat for Humanity, nonprofit organizations, and public-sector clients such as the Allentown Housing Authority, and we are eager to continue expanding work that helps people and strengthens our community.

Responsibilities Include:
- Perform building code and zoning code reviews with confidence and accuracy
- Prepare and oversee drawing production from concept through construction documents
- Make informed decisions related to constructability, detailing, coordination, and problem-solving
- Mentor junior staff and help build a high-performing, collaborative team
- Work directly with clients, consultants, contractors, and municipal officials
- Support project management efforts including scope, schedule, budgeting, and team coordination
- Help improve firm standards, systems, quality control, and overall practice operations
- Lead the full lifecycle of architectural projects, including planning, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.
- Contribute to the long-term growth and leadership of the firm
What We’re Looking For
- Registered Architect, license is required, but firm owner will sign/seal drawings for the firm
- 10–15 years of professional experience in architecture
- Significant experience working in architecture firms and within the building industry
- Strong knowledge of building codes, zoning ordinances, constructability, and detailing
- Experience with residential, multifamily, and/or small-to-mid-sized commercial projects
- Ability to work independently, make sound judgments, and lead with confidence
- Strong communication skills with clients, consultants, municipal officials, and internal team members
- Interest in leadership, mentorship, and helping grow a firm
- Desire for long-term professional growth, with the potential for future ownership opportunities
- Fluency in AutoCAD and Revit experience required
- Experience with Bluebeam and Monograph project management software a plus, but not mandatory
- Proven experience as a Senior Architect or Project Manager with a robust portfolio of architectural projects across various sectors including renovation, adaptive re-use and new construction.
- Excellent negotiation skills for contracts and client interactions to foster long-term relationships.
- Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly to clients and team members alike.
- Knowledge of budgeting principles related to construction estimating and cost control strategies.
Compensation and Benefits
