An established, patient-centered Orthotics & Prosthetics practice in the Atlanta area is seeking an ABC Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO) to join its growing clinical team. We're looking for a compassionate clinician who is passionate about restoring mobility, improving function, and building lasting relationships with patients and referral partners.
This is an opportunity to practice in a collaborative environment where you'll manage patients through the full continuum of care—from evaluation and treatment planning to device delivery, gait training, and long-term follow-up.
What You'll Do
As a member of our clinical team, you will:
- Perform comprehensive orthotic and prosthetic evaluations.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on physician prescriptions and patient goals.
- Measure, cast, scan, fit, align, and deliver custom orthotic and prosthetic devices.
- Provide gait training, patient education, and follow-up care to optimize patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, case managers, and rehabilitation teams.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with Medicare, commercial insurance, and professional standards.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with referral sources while representing the practice with professionalism.
Clinical Focus
You'll work with a diverse patient population and have the opportunity to treat a wide range of orthotic and prosthetic conditions, including:
- Lower-limb prosthetics
- Upper-extremity prosthetics
- Pediatric orthotics
- Microprocessor knees and feet
- Cranial remolding helmets
- Scoliosis bracing
- Custom AFOs, KAFOs, and spinal orthoses
The practice maintains a manageable clinic schedule of approximately 10–12 patients per week, allowing clinicians to focus on quality patient care and long-term outcomes.
Qualifications
- ABC Certification as a Certified Prosthetist Orthotist (CPO) required.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Orthotics & Prosthetics (MSOP preferred).
- Completion of NCOPE residency.
- Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally when needed.
