Job Overview
Join our team as a Meat Cutter and become a vital part of delivering high-quality, fresh meat products to our valued customers. In this role, you will expertly handle meat preparation, cutting, and packaging while ensuring food safety standards are met. Your culinary skills and attention to detail will help create an inviting shopping experience, supporting our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in the food industry within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

Skillfully cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to established standards and customer requests
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the meat department, including sanitation of tools and work areas
Package meat products securely for display or customer purchase, ensuring freshness and quality preservation
Assist customers with product selection, answer questions about cuts and preparation methods, and provide excellent customer service
Follow all food handling and safety procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
Restock displays regularly to keep the department attractive and fully stocked throughout the day
Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and uphold high standards of food quality

Experience

Previous experience in food production or food preparation is highly preferred, especially within the meat or butcher industry
Experience in food handling, packaging, and maintaining food safety standards within a retail or restaurant setting is advantageous
Kitchen or culinary experience that demonstrates familiarity with food industry practices will be valued
Excellent customer service skills gained through restaurant or retail experience help create positive shopping experiences for customers
Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper sanitation procedures ensures compliance and product integrity
Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment such as a restaurant or grocery store is beneficial for success in this role

Pay: $14.00 - $19.00 per hour
