ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW:
Founded in 1984 the Humane Society of Central Illinois (HSCI) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit animal welfare organization serving the Bloomington-Normal community and surrounding areas.
Working in partnership with our community, we care for, house, and provide adoption services for animals who are looking for their forever homes. Over 1,000 animals are helped annually due to the support of individual donors and volunteers who dedicate countless hours to support our mission.
At HSCI, all animals are treated with compassion and respect. The shelter serves as a haven for homeless animals and an uplifting destination for all pet-lovers and their families, providing services dedicated to the public including adoption, education, and outreach programming.
HSCI has taken a leading role in driving a regional response to the crisis of unwanted and homeless animals by establishing formal relationships with local animal shelters and other rescues, accommodating animals for adoption that might otherwise be euthanized.
