Full Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchasing Assistant to support our purchasing and inventory operations. The ideal candidate will assist with processing purchase orders, communicating with vendors, tracking shipments, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely delivery of products and supplies. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Assist with creating and processing purchase orders
Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, and delivery schedules
Track orders and follow up on delayed shipments
Maintain accurate purchasing records and inventory data
Reconcile invoices and resolve discrepancies with vendors
Support inventory management and stock replenishment
Coordinate with internal departments to fulfill purchasing needs

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
Previous purchasing experience preferred
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Experience with purchasing or inventory software is a plus
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
