Full Job Description

We are seeking a motivated, design-minded professional who enjoys building relationships, managing projects, and helping clients create beautiful homes. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in lighting, interior design, residential construction, or builder selections who wants to combine creativity with sales.

As a Lighting Design & Sales Consultant, you'll work closely with builders, architects, interior designers, and homeowners to create custom lighting solutions for luxury residential projects from concept through installation.

$40,000–$50,000 base salary + up to 5% commission

What You'll Do

Develop and grow relationships with builders, architects, interior designers, and homeowners to generate new business and repeat referrals.
Meet or exceed annual sales goals through consultative sales and exceptional customer service.
Review architectural plans, perform electrical take-offs, and prepare detailed lighting proposals and quotations.
Guide homeowners and designers through decorative and architectural lighting selections.
Attend job site walkthroughs to ensure lighting plans align with project specifications and construction requirements.
Create comprehensive lighting specification books for both decorative and non-decorative fixtures.
Manage projects from initial consultation through order entry, tracking, scheduling, and final delivery.
Recommend innovative and technical lighting solutions that enhance each home's design and functionality.
Present product knowledge and educational training to builders, architects, and interior designers.
Troubleshoot product and installation issues while providing timely, customer-focused solutions.
Successfully manage multiple projects, deadlines, and budgets simultaneously.
Attend industry trade shows to identify new products and design trends.
Assist with showroom merchandising and product displays alongside manufacturer representatives.
Maintain and update preferred product selections and stocked inventory.
Support and mentor office staff as needed.
Deliver an exceptional customer experience throughout every stage of the project.

What We're Looking For

Experience in lighting sales, interior design, residential construction, builder selections, kitchen & bath design, or a related field.
Ability to read and interpret architectural plans (preferred).
Strong sales, relationship-building, and communication skills.
Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Passion for design and creating outstanding customer experiences.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn industry software.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
