Precision Lumping Services

This position is not for everyone.

We are looking for a high-level operations leader who can oversee multiple warehouse operations across several states, lead large workforces, solve problems immediately, and maintain complete control of daily operations.

This role requires someone who understands warehouse operations at an expert level, including production-based container unloading, labor management, throughput, staffing, customer relations, profitability, and multi-site leadership.

The right candidate must be willing to travel extensively, be available when operations require support, and take immediate action when challenges arise.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a Regional General Manager who:

Has extensive experience in warehouse operations, logistics, 3PL services, or labor management
Can oversee multiple facilities simultaneously
Can manage large workforces and leadership teams
Understands production-based container unloading operations
Understands labor planning, staffing, scheduling, and workforce accountability
Can travel immediately when operational needs arise
Is comfortable spending extended periods of time at facilities when necessary
Has strong decision-making skills and can operate independently
Takes direction well and executes without delay
Maintains constant awareness of operational performance across all assigned sites
Holds managers, supervisors, and leads accountable to company expectations
Is highly organized, detail-oriented, and disciplined

RESPONSIBILITIESMulti-Site Operations Oversight

Oversee multiple distribution centers and warehouse operations across several states
Maintain operational consistency across all assigned facilities
Ensure leadership teams are executing company standards and expectations
Monitor daily performance, staffing levels, labor efficiency, and operational execution

Workforce Leadership

Directly manage Building Managers, Operations Managers, Supervisors, and Leads
Recruit, develop, and retain strong leadership teams
Enforce accountability throughout all levels of management
Ensure staffing levels support operational demands

Production-Based Container Operations

Possess expert-level knowledge of production-based container unloading operations
Understand labor efficiency, throughput, unload rates, and productivity expectations
Support operational teams during peak periods, start-ups, emergencies, and staffing shortages
Ensure all production operations meet company expectations

Problem Solving

Respond immediately to operational issues
Investigate and resolve customer concerns
Address labor shortages, leadership challenges, operational disruptions, and performance concerns
Make informed decisions quickly under pressure

Customer Relations

Maintain professional relationships with warehouse leadership and customer contacts
Represent Precision Lumping Services in a professional manner at all times
Serve as a trusted operational partner for customers and facility leadership

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

This role requires extensive travel.

90%+ travel required
Multi-state travel
Same-day travel when operational needs arise
Overnight and extended travel periods required
Must be available by phone and capable of responding to urgent operational situations
Must be comfortable spending weeks at a facility when business needs require it

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Strong preference will be given to candidates with experience involving:

3PL operations
Warehouse operations
Distribution center management
Production-based labor environments
Container unloading operations
Freight handling
Cross-dock operations
High-volume warehouse environments
Multi-site leadership

Experience with companies such as Capstone Logistics, Humano, DHL, XPO, Ryder, Penske, Walmart Distribution, Target Distribution, Amazon, or similar organizations is highly preferred.

Pay: $100,000.00 per year
