FlexTrades is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist with Horizontal Boring Mill (HBM) experience. This role is ideal for machinists who enjoy challenging work, complex setups, and machining large parts in a low-volume, high-mix environment. You'll be responsible for setting up and operating large CNC HBMs and Floor Mills, reading blueprints, making offsets and adjustments, and inspecting your own work to ensure quality standards are met.

Responsibilities
- Set up and operate large-format CNC Horizontal Boring Mills (HBMs) and floor mills.
- Read and interpret blueprints, prints, and setup documentation.
- Perform machine setups ranging from 30 minutes to 10 hours.
- Machine large weldments, forgings, plate steel, and fabricated components.
- Make offsets and adjustments for tool wear, feeds, and speeds.
- Inspect completed parts using precision measuring instruments.
- Verify parts meet tolerances as tight as .001".
- Change, load, and manage tooling during machine setups and changeovers.
- Operate overhead cranes safely for material handling and positioning.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and solve problems independently.
Qualifications
- Experience setting up and operating CNC Horizontal Boring Mills.
- Experience with floor-type or table-type HBM machines.
- Proficiency using Fanuc controls and G&M codes.
- Ability to set up parts from blueprints and prints.
- Experience machining large weldments and fabricated components.
- Ability to perform offsets and tool wear adjustments.
- Experience with long machine cycle times and complex setups.
- Ability to inspect parts using precision measuring equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environment.
Pay and Benefits:
- Pay: $44/hour
- Guaranteed Overtime Each Week paid at time and a half
