Full Job Description

Overview
Join our healthcare team as an Internal Medicine Physician, where your expertise will drive comprehensive patient care and promote wellness across diverse populations. This vital role offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality, evidence-based medical services in both outpatient and inpatient settings. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized treatment plans, utilize advanced diagnostic tools, and ensure optimal health outcomes for your patients. Your proactive approach and clinical excellence will be instrumental in fostering a healthier community while advancing your professional growth.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough medical history assessments and physical examinations to evaluate patient health status.
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans aligned with best practices and patient needs.
Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to document clinical encounters accurately and efficiently. Completing and locking all charts timely, within 24 to 48 hrs.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests including medical imaging, laboratory results, and other specialized assessments.
Manage inpatient and outpatient care, including acute illness management, chronic disease control, and preventive health services.
Provide patient education on disease prevention, medication management, lifestyle modifications, and health coaching strategies.
Coordinate with specialists across fields such as cardiology, endocrinology, pulmonology, psychiatry, and others to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
Participate in clinical research initiatives and quality improvement projects to enhance patient outcomes and adhere to NCQA standards.

Expereince

Experience working with Tribal Indian Health Centers (serving Native Americans), Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC), Community Health Centers, Primary Care Outpatient Clinics; Medi-Cal, Medi-care patients preferred.
Proficiency with EMR systems for accurate documentation.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and diagnostic radiology including CT scans and nuclear medicine.
Experience in inpatient hospital or outpatient preferred.
Expereince in managing complex patients in outpatient setting preferred.
Ability to perform comprehensive physical examinations and patient assessments across diverse age groups.
Excellent communication skills for patient service delivery, discharge planning, family counseling, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Knowledge of CPT coding for billing purposes and compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.

Requirements

MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Internal Medicine Physician (MD / DO)
Active California Medical License (or ability to obtain in 90 days)
At least 1 year of experience

Pay: $250,000.00 - $400,000.00 per year
