Full Job Description

East Pizzeria is a growing kosher artisan pizzeria looking for an experienced kitchen leader to oversee daily operations, food quality, staff management, and kitchen systems.

This is a hands-on leadership role. We are looking for someone who enjoys both cooking and managing people, and who can help build a highly organized and consistent kitchen.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise daily kitchen operations
Train, coach, and develop kitchen staff
Ensure consistent food quality and presentation
Maintain recipe standards and portion control
Manage prep production and inventory levels
Place food orders and communicate with vendors
Monitor food costs and reduce waste
Create efficient kitchen systems and workflows
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and health department standards
Assist with catering and special events
Work closely with ownership to improve menu items and operations

Qualifications

Kitchen management or chef experience
Strong leadership and team-building skills
Experience managing inventory, ordering, and food cost controls
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational and communication skills
Attention to detail and commitment to consistency
Experience with pizza, baking, dough fermentation, or artisan food production is a major plus
