Overview
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Staff Pharmacist, where your expertise will directly impact patient care and medication management across diverse clinical settings. In this vital role, you will serve as a clinical leader, ensuring safe, effective, and personalized medication therapies. Your proactive approach and comprehensive knowledge will support healthcare providers and patients alike, fostering an environment of excellence in pharmacy practice. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your clinical skills in a patient-centered environment where we serve a broad mix of patient populations .

Responsibilities

Dispense medications accurately while adhering to all safety and regulatory protocols.
Collaborate with healthcare teams and recommend suitable in-stock alternatives.
Utilize pharmacy software and electronic health record (EHR) systems to process prescriptions, update patient records, and manage inventory efficiently.
Utilize EHR systems to support clinical staff with prior authorizations.
Recommend insurance preferred alternative medications to prescribers.
Provide expert patient service by counseling on medication administration, potential side effects, and drug interactions while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Manage inventory levels meticulously to prevent shortages or overstocking of medications and properly investigate any discrepancies.
Stay updated on current medical terminology, pharmacy practices, and regulatory standards to ensure compliance and optimal patient outcomes.
Monitoring key performance indicators in order to track progress.
Resolve customer concerns by using root cause analysis and problem solving skills.
Manage staff and pharmacy operations while on duty.
Create schedules for support staff.
Complete delegated projects in a timely manner
