As an Underground Telecom Construction Supervisor, you will oversee, coordinate, and safely guide field crews performing underground utility installations (directional drilling, trenching, plowing, and vault placements)

This position will need to be flexible to travel around the state of Oregon.

What you’ll do

Lead Field Operations: Supervise daily activities of underground utility construction crews, ensuring production goals, quality standards, and project deadlines are met.
Enforce Safety First: Maintain a strict culture of safety by ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, DOT standards, local traffic control laws, and company safety policies (including proper PPE and daily tailgate meetings).
Project Coordination: Read and interpret blueprints, project designs, and line prints. Coordinate with project managers, engineering teams, and local utility locators (811) to prevent utility strikes.
Resource Management: Manage and allocate equipment, tools, and materials efficiently. Ensure routine maintenance is completed on machinery (directional drills, excavators, vacuum trucks).
Documentation & Reporting: Track daily production logs, timesheets, and material usage. Provide regular progress updates to leadership and resolve any field-level issues or deviations from the project plan.

What you’ll need

Experience: 3+ years of experience in telecom construction, specifically focused on underground utility installation (directional boring, trenching, conduit/fiber placement).
Leadership: At least 1–2 years of experience leading, mentoring, or supervising field crews or subcontractors.
Technical Skills: Strong ability to read and interpret construction prints, schematics, and splice/cut sheets. Deep understanding of underground utility locating and 811 protocols.
Licenses & Certifications: * A valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record (Class A or B CDL is highly preferred).
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus.

Physical & Travel Requirements: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, lift up to 50 lbs, and travel extensively across the state of Oregon as required by project locations.
