Full Job Description

Join One of the Fastest Growing Surveying Companies in Texas

Burns Surveying is seeking a motivated CAD Drafter to join our growing team in Rockwall, Texas. If you have experience with AutoCAD and enjoy producing accurate technical drawings in a fast-paced environment, we'd like to hear from you.

As a member of our drafting department, you'll work alongside experienced survey professionals preparing a variety of survey deliverables for residential, commercial, and municipal projects throughout Texas.

Responsibilities

Prepare boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, subdivision, and construction survey drawings using AutoCAD.
Draft survey data collected by field crews.
Review field notes, legal descriptions, and survey calculations for accuracy.
Maintain drafting standards and quality control throughout each project.
Coordinate with project managers, field crews, and licensed surveyors to meet project deadlines.
Organize project files and assist with revisions as needed.

Qualifications

Experience using AutoCAD (Civil 3D experience is a plus).
Previous land surveying drafting experience preferred but not required.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to learn and grow within the company.
