Pay Range: USD $16.61 - USD $25.00 /Hr. Overview:
This is a limited term position. Continued employment is based on continuation of extramural funding and is subject to renewal.
The Alabama Cooperative Extension System is seeking qualified applications for Part-Time Agent Assistant serving Baldwin County to assist with programming and support of the Master Environmental Education Program and 4-H.
The Agent Assistant will have a 28-hour work week and periodically provide evening and/or weekend hours.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with delivery of educational programming in schools in support of the Master Environmental Educator Program

Coordinate program logistics, including scheduling with teachers and communicating with volunteers

Support and deliver 4‑H youth development programming, including preparation of curriculum and materials

Serve as a member of the 4‑H CYI Team, collaborating with Extension staff to support county youth needs

Assist with collection and reporting of program impact and enrollment data

Maintain, clean, organize, and stock educational supplies and materials

Provide general office support as needed, including answering phones and assisting clients
Qualifications:
Level I:
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
4 years of experience in the organization and/or presentation of pre-designed educational programs/services, customer service, administrative support/clerical or related experience.
Level II:
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
6 years of experience in the organization and/or presentation of pre-designed educational programs/services, customer service, administrative support/clerical or related experience.
License and Certifications:

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the county as required
Desired Qualifications:
Experience working with youth, educational programs, volunteers, or community‑based organizations preferred
Substitutions Allowed for Experience:
When a candidate has the required education, but lacks the required experience, they may normally apply additional appropriate education toward the experience requirement, at a rate of one (1) year relevant education per year of required experience.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of extensive body or rules, precedents, procedures applicable to administrative support work.

Basic computer skills, including use of email, scheduling tools, data entry, and document preparation

Ability to effectively communicate and work with youth, volunteers, educators, Extension staff, and the public

Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Willingness to work flexible hours as needed, including occasional evenings or weekends
